Amazon Music’s +44 announces that they will team up with the world-renowned Rampage Sound at this year’s Notting Hill Carnival for a second year, taking place across the August bank holiday weekend.

This year, +44 will livestream from the heart of the Carnival including select performances on the Rampage Sound stage and backstage interviews, giving audiences the chance to see the best hip hop, R&B, dancehall and Caribbean music that Rampage has to offer from the comfort of home.

Celebrating the 30th anniversary of Rampage Sound being part of Notting Hill Carnival, the exclusive +44 livestream will feature exciting performances from a flurry of very special guests who will drop in throughout the day, as well as behind the scenes content. Previous year’s guest performances include Grammy Award-winning Koffee, BRIT award winner Stormzy, Sean Paul, Shaggy, Mark Ronson, Tinie Tempah, Ms Dynamite, General Levy, Katy B and many more.

The livestream will be available to watch on Sunday 27th August from 3pm on the Amazon Music UK channel on Twitch, here.

2023 welcomes a huge milestone for Notting Hill Carnival marking 50 years since Trinidadian Leslie “Teacher” Palmer MBE put the first ever sound system on the street. It also coincides with the 75th anniversary of the Windrush generation migrating to Britain. Members of the Windrush generation helped found the Caribbean carnival in the late 1950s, the forerunner of today’s Carnival.

Dellessa James, Senior Artist Relations Manager commented: “Carnival is one of the biggest community-led street celebrations on the planet and it showcases unrivalled musical performances from some of the biggest names in Black music. To be able to work with one of the most renowned stages on such a poignant year feels really special. Our +44 livestream will provide an opportunity for viewers who can’t attend, to be able to join in on one of the biggest cultural and musical events of the year.”

Listeners can also tune it to the +44 Caribbean playlist on Amazon Music, full of all the essential tracks from Dancehall and Caribbean artists. The playlist has been described as “Spotlighting the best Dancehall, Soca, Reggae and Caribbean Music.” — Listen here.

The +44 podcast will also return for a third season in September and will include highlights from the weekend.
