BandLab has been recognized by Fast Company’s annual Best Workplaces for Innovators list, a global program honoring 100 companies where employees at all levels are empowered to dream big, take risks, and turn bold ideas into reality. The company also earned a place on the Best Workplaces for Innovators International list, which highlights organizations headquartered outside the United States.

The 2025 Best Workplaces for Innovators list spans industries from entertainment and biotech to consumer goods and education. Selected from nearly 1,000 entries, honorees were chosen based on their investment in innovation, internal programs, company culture, and a demonstrated track record of breakthroughs.

With a platform powering over 100 million music creators in 190 countries, BandLab is building the future of music creation and collaboration. The company’s innovations span next-generation AI music tools, social features that connect millions of creators, and a cross-platform studio used by musicians around the world.

Innovation at BandLab is driven by a global team united by a love of music and a commitment to giving creators the best tools possible. They work across time zones with the freedom to experiment and the ownership to see ideas through. It’s why people join BandLab: to tackle challenges that matter, from enabling musicians to record together across countries to developing new ways for artists to connect with fans in real time.

“Fast Company’s recognition is meaningful because it reflects one of our core strengths: building a team passionate about creating products for the next generation of artists,” says BandLab CEO & Co-Founder Meng Ru Kuok. “That means giving teams the space to explore, the resources to execute, and the confidence to take risks. The products matter, but what matters most is the impact they have on the world of music, and the way our people come together to make that possible.”

“This award is validation of the way we work,” says Aki Nishanov, VP of Product & Growth at BandLab. “We listen closely to creators, prototype quickly, and release features that have an immediate impact. That cycle is what keeps us moving forward and what makes BandLab an exciting place to build.”

“Each year, we’re inspired by the companies and leaders who prove that innovation doesn’t happen by accident — it’s the result of intentional choices to empower people at every level,” says Brendan Vaughan, editor-in-chief of Fast Company. “The organizations on this year’s Best Workplaces for Innovators list show that when you build a culture where creativity and risk-taking are valued, breakthrough ideas inevitably follow.”
