The deadline for the American Songwriter Annual Song Contest will be here before you know it!
Since 1984, American Songwriter has helped aspiring songwriters get noticed and have fun. Don’t miss your chance to enter the 2021 edition to get your songs in front of hit songwriters, artists & A&R executives and for your chance to win $10,000.
On top of that you also can win a two-page feature in the March/April 2022 issue of American Songwriter, and a co-publishing deal with LiveXLive.
The deadline to submit is December 1st, 2021 at 11:59 PM CT

Contest submissions will be evaluated and judged by a panel of notable artists and songwriters, such as Martina McBride, Michael Franti, and Maggie Rose, label and industry executives, and LiveXLive, who will collectively select the winner.
The contest also provides an opportunity for songwriters to get noticed by hit songwriters, artists, and A&R executive judges, including Paul Stanley (of KISS), Ziggy Marley, Grammy-award winning Julian Casablancas (of The Strokes), Vance Joy, Martina McBride, multi-platinum selling 3OH!3, and industry leaders/A&Rs like Steve Robertson (VP of A&R at Atlantic Records), Lee Dannay (VP of A&R at Thirty Tigers), Jonathan Stone (CEO of Radar Music/Co-founder of Rocket Songs), John McBride (owner of Blackbird Studio), and Patch Culbertson (SVP/GM at Big Loud Records).
The winner will be announced in December 2021.
